Sand Point Elementary School Leadership Announcement

Dear Sand Point Elementary Community,

I am pleased to announce Dr. Stephanie Zikopoulos as the next principal of Sand Point Elementary School.

Dr. Zikopoulos brings a wealth of experience to the Sand Point community with a strong commitment to inclusive and equitable education as an elementary teacher, PK-12 district leader, and middle and high school administrator most recently in the Renton School District.

Dr. Zikopoulos was selected through a formal interview process with the participation of school staff and families. She is excited continue fostering a collaborative culture, supporting diverse learners and leading with both heart and vision.

I want to extend my gratitude to Dr. Katie Pearl for her leadership over the last three years at Sand Point. I know she will continue doing amazing work for Seattle Public Schools in her new role as Principal Leadership Coach.

Dr. Zikopoulos will begin at Sand Point on July 1, 2025, and opportunities for the community to meet her will be announced in the coming weeks.

We look forward to all the work Principal Zikopoulos will do at Sand Point Elementary during 2025-26 school year and beyond.
