About Sand Point Elementary

Our School

Sand Point Elementary is a school with strong academics, a comprehensive arts education, and a social emotional tools curriculum to educate lifelong learners. Our arts education program includes hip hop dance, integrated visual arts, drama, instrumental music, ukulele, drumming, and more.  

Teachers and staff at SPE are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment, which instills creativity in the learning process. With the tools that Sand Point offers, students leave the school with a sense of personal accomplishment and the full range of skills necessary to be successful in middle school and beyond.

Our Community

For the 2025-26 school year, Sand Point Elementary is proud to have over 165 students enrolled in K-5 and preschool classrooms. Our demographics represent a microcosm of the city where we live. Our students speak 10 different home languages. 

We have a very dedicated PTA and community volunteers who work in partnership with the school and staff. Our common goal is to support the entire school community and each and every student at Sand Point.

The PTA provides tremendous support to the school through volunteer hours and fundraising. Without PTA funding, we would not be able to provide many of the opportunities and experiences such as art, music, field trips, PE support, library support, garden, school supplies, school events, and more.
