Academic Support: We support students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work with students on reading, writing, math, social/behavior skills and study skills. Most special education support happens in students’ regular classes, although we do provide small group or 1:1 pullout based on student needs. Our goal is to increase students’ access to the general education curriculum. The teachers are located in Office B.

English Language Learners (ELL): ELL receive support in their general education classrooms and in small groups and 1:1 pullout based on need. We have one full-time teacher and two instructional assistants to support English language learners. We host an ELL family night to learn more about how ELL students are supported at Sand Point and other community resources. Translation support is available for families for all parent teacher conferences and other educational meetings.
