    Sand Point Elementary School

    Our Vision

At Sand Point Elementary, we are a community of lifelong learners, responsible global citizens, and champions of our own success.

    School Philosophy

At Sand Point Elementary, we firmly believe that all students can achieve high academic levels in accordance with the Washington State and District Learning Standards. While the learning process is different for each student, the teachers and staff at Sand Point work hard to create an environment that challenges, supports, and instills creativity in the learning process. Our hope is that our students will leave the school with a sense of personal accomplishment and the full range of tools necessary to be successful later in life. Furthermore, we believe that learning should be fun. We strive to instill a passion for exploration and intellectual curiosity.

In order to insure that all students achieve at high levels of instruction, we set high expectations for our students and create curriculum that is clearly linked to District and State standards. These standards allow for creativity, problem solving, and critical thinking skills in literacy, math, science, social studies and the arts. Assessments are also authentic and aligned with these standards.

Student success is ultimately dependent upon our partnership with you, the parents and guardians. We are here to serve as an educational resource in the academic, social, and emotional development of young people. If we can assist you at any time, please do not hesitate to contact us. Your involvement in the education of your children is both valued and critical to the success of this most important work.
