    Inclement Weather Reminder
    Posted on 06/30/2015
In the event that we experience inclement weather during the winter months, it is important that we share a common understanding of the procedures for handling changes in the school schedule. If severe weather makes it necessary to change the school schedule, the superintendent will announce late arrival, early dismissal, or closure of the district through major media outlets, as well as at www.schoolreport.org. This website will always contain the most up-to-date information. Unless there is a listing for Seattle Public Schools at schoolreport.org, all schools and programs are operating on a normal schedule. If the decision is made to close schools for the day, an announcement will be made by 6:00 AM.
In the event of a late arrival or early dismissal, please make transportation arrangements if you normally drive your child to and from school. Students should not be dropped off early on late arrival days, nor left at school after an early dismissal. Buses may be delayed on severe weather days, but they will always run unless school is cancelled. Please be aware that students will arrive at home early if school is dismissed early in order to avoid unsafe road conditions.
